I am 40 years old..I bought TC 9028 2 1/2 years ago...have no real mechanical experience but commenced a ground-up restoration on it soon afterwards. My bankbook/Visa have taken a kicking ever since but I thoroughly enjoy the restoration. I work on the TC almost every day. Today, for example, I spent much of the afternoon using my bandsaw to cut and fit one of my door pillars. (between the right and left door pillar I have cut a total of five of them...I finally got a pair that I think will do). I expect the vehicle will be finished this year..I hope..
It is nice to hear about some of the history that many of you have with these vehicles. I do not think of the pile of metal and wooden bits as just a car..it is a small piece of history..It will be nice to bring one of the 10,000 back to life.
