tabc badges

Post by Jos Wantz » Mon Feb 21, 2000 6:16 am

Many TABC people have now subscribed to a badge.
How about numbering the badges and making
a) either a limited number of 251
b) start at number 251
Best regards to all

WHY Jos?

There could eventually be 500 people who would like a badge so why
restrict the production number. I also suggest that putting individual
numbers on each badge might be cost prohibitive!
At long last we have a badge thanks to the dedicated work of several
people, lets get them produced, put them on our cars which will attract
other owners to join this very useful facility.

For what it's worth, I like the historical touch of 251; HOWEVER, I am in
complete agreement with Geoff's points!!! Let's get on with it!!
Assuming that we'll not be able to afford getting a bunch more badges
than are "spoken for", seems to me it would be wise to ask the badge-makers
to save whatever thet can of the "patterns" or "templates" (whatever they are
called) from the first batch so that they can produce more copies at some
point in the future. I can't help but think that the TABC group will
continue to grow. There are still quite a large number of prospective
members out there! For example, there are supposed to be some 320 TC owners
in Victoria Island, Australia!!!!!!

Hey Carl Must stand up for my home state Victoria. When I grew up there, it was still attached to the mainland of Australia!! The island bit is Tasmania. But there were, and are lots of TCs there, and so many potential new members. Will be out there in April and hope to get to a meeting of my old MG Car Club in Melbourne.
