Call Broadway Title Co. @1-800-464-3222

Alabama is the only state that you can obtain a title if you don't have one.

$139 for pre '75 cars

I live in Mississippi. The State Sales Tax office told me I could obtain a
title for my previously untitled 1960 AH Bugeye if I have (2) prior notarized
bills of sale. They also said having the bills of sale witnessed by at least
two people will usually serve in lieu of notary. I applied for the title a
couple of weeks ago and expect to receive the title within the next month. I
think the registration fee was only $10 but also had to purchase license tag for
about $17.

Congratulations to Washtenaw Communty College and their

(I checked it out and read the following narrative about our member Peter
Pleitner)

"When you have restored as many vintage cars as Peter Pleitner has, picking
out the highlights can be difficult. A frontrunner has to be the Rolls Royce
Silver Ghost that won the top prize at the factory's 60th anniversary
reunion. "And it successfully completed the follow-on Alpine Rally from
London to Vienna without mechanical incident," Peter is quick to add.

Peter has restored and shown his personal collection of classic British and
Italian sports cars for the past 20 years, and for 10 years worked as a
professional restoration technician, using his skills to earn a living and
pay for bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan.

A partial list of his restoration work includes:

Two Rolls Royce Sliver Ghosts (including the aforementioned prize-winner)
One Duesenberg
One V16 Cadillac cabriolet
Several Packards
One Model A Ford
Several Rolls Royce Phantom 3s .

Peter has been a member of the Meadow Brook Hall Concours d'Elegance Car
Selection Committee, and managed their concourse invitations and historic
races for MG sports cars during the 100th Anniversary of the Automobile. He
also takes part in several car clubs, organizes tours, and attends vintage
motor sports events in the US and Europe as time permits. Also, he recently
started an Internet-based list for enthusiasts of classic Alfa Romeos.

You can reach Peter at 734-668-0087 or at pleitner@dundee.net
