some more list infos

Post by Walter Prechsl » Sat Nov 27, 1999 9:26 am

hi friends,

here some more infos on how to handle with the new list:

i have set some members to "digest" for the tests, but please check/do
that yourself at the egroups site:

To set your subscription to receive digest:
1.Login at www.egroups.com
2.Click on the "my space" button (red/center of page)
3.Click on the group which you want to digest or other type of
delivery mode
4.Click on the "Modify Subscription button" on the group info page
5.Select the desired delivery mode and you'r done!

if you do not succeed, please try it with:

http://www.egroups.com/group/mg-tabc

you even can now unsubscribe yourself with a mail to:
mg-tabc-unsubscribe@egroups.com
(but of course you do that not!!)

and for new subscriptions with
mg-tabc-subscribe@egroups.com
i have to check and confirm that as at the old list.

and furthermore you will find all our messages at that site and there
are more possibilities to even form an appropriate database (=> hi dave
(norris) now you can start directly!)

please mind: at egroups the messages are limited to 500k - ie. you can t
send images that are bigger than that. (but with our good behavier and
the care for our slow modem members, we did that not either!)

if there are problems please mail me.

best regards
walter

hi listers,

here some infos for those who want to "digest" their emails.
bruce obbink found out (thanks bruce) that "you have to go through the
log in process and set a password etc."
sorry - i have to modify my initial decription on that, but i had a
complete different user interface as the "list master".
i will do that "digest" in the future for each of you who wants to
switch it on or off, but for the moment it was too much work for me to
start opening of about 50 windows and make the entries.

regards
walter
