Dear Lads and Lassies;
Would any one have Gene Gillam's cell phone
number. Scott Pettigrew is volunteering for work up in Miss. and wants to contact
Gene.
Jim Dougherty from Greater New Orleans came by for
lunch and a quick tour. Jim is heading back home this weekend. His area now
has power, water etc. It was a harrowing experience. His MGs are A OK.
Tally Ho!

Re: Gene Gillam
Thom,
Call off the hounds...spoke to Scott last night and we're eagerly awaiting his arrival. BTW, cell phone (for anyone interested) is 228-313 9045 but coverage is spotty - and it's going to be my wife you initially speak to.
Also, for general T-ABC member interest I received the information from IMCADO on the leather bonnet straps. You were right, Thom, George Chubaty is a gentleman and his prices are excellent. Quoting from his letter:
"You will notice there are several types and style hood belts, and we make full range for every type of application, be it for competition or show. The assembly you need is #BH/MTF-170 and BH/MTR-190 front and rear units respectively (NOTE: This is for a bonnet with the side panels removed). Scuff pads are not advisable on bonnets with side panels removed. Brass hardware is not approved for judged show on nickel or chrome era motorcars. Belts are lined with finest glove skins."
The prices for these particular straps, which come with dual buckles and mounting hardware, are $77.80 lined/$59.00 plain (front) and $83.70 lined/$66.50 plain (rear). They come in 7 colors ranging from Natural, Tan, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Brown, Antique and Black.
Contact info is:
IMCADO Mfg.
50 Winthrop Ave, P.O. Box 87
Umatilla, FL 32784
(352) 669-3308
Thanks for the info on Jim!
Best,
Gene Gillam
