mail returned

G'day Group:

Attention: Jeff Redman; Edgeworth, Newcastle,NSW,Australia.

Has anyone else sent Jeff email, off site, and had same returned as non-deliverable? I have had a message, non-TABC related, returned three times advising that the addressee's mail box was full or over quota. It is not of a critical matter, only some natter regarding my visit to Newcastle. So Jeff, if you read this contact me off web. Thanks.

Now for something completly different!

I am being plagued by the outer, protective, cables of both the starter and choke, moving forwards, as the respective cables are pulled. Those wee brass clips, mounted to that large, clunky bracket of the aft carburetter, to hold said cables are as useless as,----well you can fill in the blank.

Some one suggested that I obtain two cable stop bits, for the MGA model, and bore the main segments to fit the O.D. of the protective casings. Next, thread the shanked portions; designed to hold the parts in place by use of cotter ( split ) pins, only, some where on the MGA set-up. 10-32 was the recommended thread size as 3/16 " was given as the O.D. of the shanks. The operation also requires the drilling of a second 3/16 " hole, in the aforementioned bracket, to accommodate the second stop. Fixing is then completed by use of 10-32 nylok nuts.

What are the thoughts of the Group on this " fix " or is there a better " mouse trap " already on the board?

Cheers for now then; respectfully:
Jack Emdall: TC # 6768
