I run a 3.9 ratio rear end with my Shorrock supercharger .It was recommended
to me by Brown & Gammons This ratio is fine for my driving -gentle hills but
fairly long fast highways. It means I can cruise along the highways at 60/65
mph with revs at 3000/3500 -less stress on the motor!
However if one does a lot of hilly driving I suspect a lower ratio would be
better. I have no problems keeping up with modern traffic around town or on
the highway even occasional motorway driving is quite relaxed

Re: Axles/Supercharching
Hi Gene and Paul,
I run a 4.55 diff in my TC road car. The car is not supercharged but has 9.0
C/R, +0.080" bore, TF valves, lightened flywheel, Crane road cam. I find
the 4.55 diff just about right with this engine. So I think wirh a
supercharged engine a 4.22 Sprite diff would be just fine and a good
compromise between flat cruising and reasonable acceleration.
I do not have any Morris 10 spline axles in stock now. However a new batch
of axles is in the works and so will have them in about a month. Anybody
wanting 10 inner spline axle shafts to suit Morris/Sprite/MG Midget
differentials and TA/TB/TC tapered wire wheel hubs please let me know off
list.
Thanks, Bob
