Gearbox extension

Post by TMcNam4510@aol.com » Wed Apr 13, 2005 7:47 pm

OK, last question for tonight. If and when I remove the gearbox extension, in order to remove the engine, can I expect springs and things to launch themselves in various directions? Are there any precautions I should take? Thanks, Tom TC2850 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Tom there are probably 3 detent springs and balls located in the back wall of the main case, lift the cover slowly and get the springs out, the balls will stay as long as you do not invert the transmission, drain trans oil as a precaution.
