Here is a fascinating link that addresses many of our questions about SU Needles. I stumbled on this after Bob Grunau made the point that our initial distributor advance was set at a time when Pool gas was of very chancy quality. It led to the question whether the boys at Skinner Union set up our carbs for the same lousy gas.
