long distance driving
FWIW, the record is (I believe ) still held by a Morris Minor back in the 1950s. it's some incredible number of miles, way over 10k of them. Seems the factory figured out a U-rig which allowed them to service the car while it continued to drive under its own power. They could even change drivers, wheels, & oil, all without stopping!!!

Re: long distance driving
In the early 50s Louie Mattar of San Diego drove his very specially equipped '47 Cadillac from Anchorage Alaska to Mexico City NON-STOP. Refueled (250 US Gallon capacity) from tankers at airports, Police escorts through towns. On board shower, potty & laundry facilities.
Special equipment includes a trailer that looks like an extended "teardrop" camper that included most of the fuel capacity. Ability to change oil while motoring, Rolling jacks & running-boards that allowed a tire change while running. It5 just didn't stop.
The car can be seen at the San Diego Automotive Museum. It looks like it could repeat the trip tomorrow.

e.S. Can you imagine driving all that distance without stopping at one souvenir shop?
