VW steering conversion from Peter Edney
Hi all,
Does anyone have experience of the kit from Peter Edney? Could you recommend it over other suppliers? That said, does anyone else also supply these in the UK?
Cheers from sunny Scotland,

Hi Geoff,
Having recently discovering that all UK supplied king pins appear to be from a single manufacturer I do wonder what other parts this may apply to. Steering boxes? Maybe someone on the list can tell us.

As I understand it, the boxes are made by VW, probably in Brazil, but the different MG suppliers make their own drop arms and they differ. Some modify the VW item, some make their own.

Re: VW steering conversion from Peter Edney
Thanks for the responses. Followed up with Andy King and Steve Baker.
Andy doesn't have any in stock and will wait for 4/5 orders before getting a batch made.
Steve Baker no longer stocks them himself, but put me onto the guy who made them for him (Darren Wakefield, trading on eBay as ccfabs10).
Based on Steve's recommendation I've placed an order with Darren. Should be ready in 10-14 days - will report back in due course.
Cheers,
Dave

Dave. I got this kit for my 1948 tc
And it is great. I saved my original steering stuff but this allows safe travel up to 60 mph safely
I think you will love it
