Guys,Received reply to inquiry re potential availability of MAble, n e  Vandervell XPAG VP engine bearings. To make it happen Christopher needs to get a feel for demand, & or receive orders,  it will only happen if we respond to him. https://www.google.com/search?q=vandervell%20heritage%20bearingsRe demise & resurrection of Vandervell:https://books.google.com/books?id=UpkqDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA60&lpg=PA60&dq=vandervell+heritage+bearings&source=bl&ots=bfbbvqLJl7&sig=ACfU3U1-klfErbDGCFQ0mMDGtDFPbEGJaQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiUlIW5sqLgAhVNm-AKHStWC0EQ6AEwA3oECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=vandervell%20heritage%20bearings&f=false WSHTC 4926 Sent from my iPhone Begin forwarded message:

Good Afternoon, Thank you for your enquiry for MG XPAG main, rod and cam bearings on our website. I have now had a chance to look through our drawing archive. We do have most of the drawings, however we are no longer able to manufacture flanged bearings; unfortunately this method of manufacture is now out-dated. It might be possible to manufacture the non-flanged bearings, however I'm sure you are looking for a full set. If there is an option for machining the block then we could quote for separate thrust washers and main bearings. Please let me know how you wish to proceed. Hi Bill, The flanged bearing design is effectively old technology - we no longer have the machining capabilities to 'form' bearings in this manner. Therefore the only potential option we could offer would be separate thrust washers and bearing shells which would require re-working of the block. Let me know your thoughts and if there is feedback from MG sites. Kind regards Chris Alexander MAHLE Engine Systems UK Ltd. I have passed your reply to vintage MG Sites that use XPAG engine. These engines were used in various MG models from pre-WW. II through 1949. As I understand your reply, center mains design has evolved  beyond incorporating integral thrust flange in favor of replaceable inserts & to accommodate inserts, block would have to be machined with slots to accept inserts. Correct?
