C45NV Dynamo

Can anyone confirm the Lucas stated output for the C45NV dynamo. The article in TTT2 and again MGOCC Bullitin claims 11 amps. Bob. Wales UK.

Robert, I cannot confirm 11 amps is Lucas's stated output but the late Bob Jeffers stated that is the practical limit and built a regulator to limit max output to 11 amps. Tim Bloomfield TB0613 Rather cool Louisiana Sent from my iPad

This is the reason that night trip with MG TC frequently ending in the dark, with the Battery flatHead lamps absorb . is 10 Ah x 2= and drain completely in few hours  the battery, if not full chargedthe only possibility is conversion to Alternator or switch to dipped LED lampsor don't drive the night and go to a safety bed

C45NV Dynamo

Post by Robert F.Butson » Thu May 17, 2018 12:27 pm

Hello Group, I am still looking for a statement from oficial Lucas literature as to the sustainable output from a C45 NV dynamo. There must be a Lucas catalogue with this information somewhere. Any ideas anywhere?.....Bob. Wales UK.
