MG-TA, MG-TB tool trays

Post by jgarnaes » Tue Jan 09, 2018 11:49 am

I wasn't going to do this, again, but I've got extra tools from having to buy batches at a time, in the past, when I only wanted one of something and so wound up with extras. The trays were recently discounted after a previous increase ($225.00+ shipping), so I'm in the process of finding  the missing ones and should have all by the end of the month (England, Cypress, Australia, etc.). I'll probably put them on ebay, unless I get some interest from the group; about 90% correct, as some are very difficult to find and when you do find them, veddy spensive; the trays are more than $200.00, but I think closest to the originals. Hi Jan,

Do you have any empty tool trays for sale. I have most of the tools, but no trays.

Hi Ron,

Not sure if he is still making them but I got mine from Ian Pooley from Tenterden - 01580 764442. It was about 10 years ago though.

Has anyone communicated with Ian recently? The moulds he used were good so hopefully if he has stopped making them someone has the moulds and is still producing the trays.

Regards,

Jeff

Liverpool motorworks in Pennsylvania

Jerry Labant

LMWJERRY@AOL.COM

He has two (2) different tool trays

One for Stamped -flat spanners/wrenches

And One for Shelley forged spanners

Tell him which you have.

My early 37 owners manual shows stamped spanners

But he thinks only late TA/TB used those and early TA

Used forged ones!? Jan

Jerry LaBant has both tools and trays.  Some years back, he made a mold for the trays from my pristine TB tool tray.  He can be found at:
