Attachments :If you want to change the firing order by 180 DEGREES, LEAVE THE DISTRIBUTOR BODY and location alone!!

Remove cap, rotor, point plate, screw in center of distributor shaft, remove cam and rotate 180 degrees and refit everything. Now change plug wires, reverse 1 and 4, reverse 2 and 3 and you have correct firing without disturbing distributor timing of 1-3-4-2 but wires are in different locations. .

The physical position of the distributor body does not make any difference to the way the car runs, other than having access to  the micro-adjuster.  The wires have to be in the correct positions in relation to the rotor.  So with the distributor 180 degrees out, your #4 plug wire would be in the #1 location.
