Gearbox Cover Mounting

Fellow Listers, It is mentioned in the TC's Forever Book that the gearbox is mounted in the front to the bottom plate of the scuttle with machine screws. And the sides are mounted to the floor boards with wood screws. Can anyone tell me how many wood screws were used on each side? And looking at several photos it appears that the cover sits over the carpet on the gearshaft tunnel. Is this correct and does it also sit over the floorboard carpets? In the process of getting my engine back togethre and noticed this. The gearbox cover that was on the car just sat over the gearbox and had carpet over it. Seeing that this cover was a bit shewed up I bought a new one and want to set it up correctly. In advance to your response, I very much apprciate it! Thanks, Bruce TC #2721 XPAG #3355
