Clarification on CJO 617

CJO 617 is TA 0252, and has been broken up. TA 0251, owned by Colin Fitzgerald, is registered CJO 618. Check out "MG: The Sports Car Supreme" by Joseph Wherry for photos - the car is unique to say the least. Cheers, Pete TC 0252

Clarification on CJO 617

Post by C Sherriff » Fri Mar 15, 2002 11:35 am

In the 1960's in Walter Stephens Garage (Westella Garage) in Devon, there was a TA Chassis with the clear chassis number TA 250 on the dumb iron. It was exactle right for a TA but the chassis strengthening plates in the engine area were shorter and not drilled the same. It was thought to be a development chassis from the PB to the TA but its history was obscure except that it was a complete TA when stripped. Anyone have any knowledge of this?
