head lights

Post by Victoria Vernon » Mon Feb 18, 2002 3:04 am

Having followed the various items re Halogen I offer the following:-
I have used motor cycle bulbs; the prefocus ring is removed and the base drilled to take a piece of wire/brazing rod, appropriately positioned to act as the bayonet fixing. This has given me 50/40 watt lights, much brighter than the standard 36/36 and this also really taxes the originality police to spot the difference.
On a slightly unallied subject, a friend with a TD wants to know if anyone can tell him (thru me) how to adjust the shock absorbers (Girling). He says there appear to be two screw thingies.
thanks
