Tony Zone: radiator shell nuts

Post by Bill Hentzen » Sun Nov 25, 2001 5:58 pm

Tony-from all the expert advice you have read, I would expect that 2BA nuts will do the job. I would and add that typically they are brass. If you let me know your address, I'd be happy to send the six or what ever you need in brass or stainless which is what I like to use. On the topic of fasteners: Stainless fasteners of all BSF, BSW and BSC are available from: D. Middleton Unit 5 Lady Ann Mills Lady Ann Road Batley West Yorkshire WF17 0PS England Fax: 1924 470 807 I have been getting bits from this fellow for 10 plus years and a fax with Visa # gets delivery in about a week. Suggest one sends him a couple dollar bills and he will send his catalogue. Or, let me know your needs and I'll fax you copies of the proper pages. Not inexpensive, stainless, but polishes up great to avoid the plating. I do not see in his catalogue BSF wood or self tappers. Another source for US fasteners is: Tioga Stainless John & Mary McCabe PO Box 565 Burlington VT 9671 802 655 9671 A buck will get you their catalogue. These are car people and just a delight to buy from. They have a 5.00 min. and do not take credit cards but your check. This is where you can get stainless nails, cotter keys, wood and self tap and machine screws, wire. No metric or BSF. #10 hex heads are close enough to 2BA for the brake clips. Hope this helps some. Cheers! Bill Hentzen
