MPJG Engine Color

This winter I plan on removing the head on my TA for a much needed valve job. I thought I would respray the engine at the same time. According to the Moss/Naylor Bros. catalog the correct engine color is dark green and that is the paint they offer. My engine is green but appears to be red underneath. What is correct? If it is red , is there a convenient source for the paint? Ken Enborg 1936 TA
