Has any one knowledge about a K&N filter that can be placed in our TC canisters, without too much fuss. I am using them in our family cars with good results. Tally Ho! Thom Collins

While I have not checked it out yet, I have been told an MGB air filter element will slide into our TC canister. Just looking in the Moss catalog, it appears that it could fit. Anyone out there with a TC and a B, or better yet has done the conversion care to comment? David Edgar, TC 5108 El Cajon, California At 11:17 AM -0400 10/9/01, LuckyFloridaLin@aol.com wrote:

I used either an MGB or Midget paper filter (cannot recall which). It was a bit too short so I made up the difference with a piece of plastic drain pipe as a spacer. Also, as the filter O/D was just a tad smaller than the I/D of the filter body, I used self-adhesive foam rubber tape to take up the tolerance. Works fine. Joe Gates TC 8675

David, I am using the air filter from my other MG, a 1980 MGB. This is the North American version and the air filter fits into the empty air can replica that Abingdon Spares (and others) have been selling. The Moss No. is 373-905 or Victoria British No. is 3-172. Both sell for $7.95. I made a small modification to the aluminum base of the air can to taper it so the filter will fit snugly and not be crushed. The outward appearance is that of an original as I even kept the wire mesh and steel wool stuffed in the intake area. My best, Ben Cordsen TC 4260
