A couple weeks ago I sent note to the list seeking advise because I could not get the engine to idle on my 1949 TC # 7812. I am grateful for the replies I received that helped me resolve the problem. The solution was simple - turn the jets out more than the 9-10 turns I had initially set them at. I then followed the rest of the instructions in the article (Back to Basics #11: Carburetor Tuning) written by Chip Old as found in "The T Type Restoration Handbook". The result was an engine the runs GREAT!! - with all the oil leaks in the correct spot. BTW, this is the first time this engine was run since it was installed as a factory rebuild back in the mid or early seventies (in the Denver, Colorado area). Hopefully, in about 30 to 45 days I'll be able to take the car for a test ride around the block. This is the first time this car will have been driven in over 30 years. I thank the members of the list for their help!!
 Again Thanks,
 Mark Stolzenburg
