I have been too busy with work and some other stuff to read or post much but I am back and I have tried to update the parts compatibility list with the Choke Nut info below. Unfortunately there is no editor that I can find any more. It shows me upload button and every time I click o nthe file it re downloads it. When I update it on my pc it lets me upload the new one but wont let me delete the old one, no option for it. Am I missing something? I am logged in as the same user and am the owner of that file, Or at least I was when I created it.
For now there are two versions until I can figure out how to delete on and edit the other

This is the nut that is a direct replacement for the stock Kawasaki part but much less expensive.

Put your mouse over your file and a trash can should appear. You can take it from here....... If that fails, let me know. Fred List Admin. From:

Here is a shot of some rubber door seal/trunk seal from an auto wrecker. I apply it onto the radiator side of the fan shroud to seal the shroud to the rad + help to protect the rad from a loose/broken shroud.

I prefer the Gen1 fan and shroud system but haven't as yet found a substitute fan assembly for Gen2.

Not sure if this will work / help but I really like the idea of this parts list so I created a Google spreadsheet based on the parts compatibility file and have made it publicly accessible and editable:

Updated the spreadsheet with the wealth of information from Norm Keller's posting. (Although most of his notes didn't specify Gen1 or Gen2, so didn't want to make assumptions.)

Here is something that also works; please feel free to add this--.
Clutch Cable compatibility--The OEM Gen 2 clutch cable works on the Gen 1 bike (just fine); even though it is a different part number. The OEM Gen 1 cable and its equivalent replacements uses a shielded end at the clutch perch that has a ~35degree bend in it.While doing a rob and swap of the clutch cable on a brand new bike at the Tupelo MS Kawasaki dealer, www.tupelo
powersports.comNot only did find that the Gen 2 cable worked just fine, it has less interference with the 'bark-busters'/lever protectors that are installed.
The down side, the Gen 2, OEM cable is more expensive. (when your choice is overnight it from somewhere else, you are glad to get it.)$10.10 vs $25.95
