Does anyone besides me think he did this on purpose?  If so, does anyone besides me think he should be taken off the road?

looking for someone to repair/rebuild motor in massachusetts

Post by chris kelly » Mon Nov 24, 2014 5:17 pm

My 2004 KLR has 40,000 miles. It overheated a few thousand miles ago and after waterpump was repaired engine has a ticking noise. It runs and is registered /insured, but I'm concerned that it needs something. I paid them over a hundred to compression and leak down test it. Results were inconclusive. Dealer wanted $500 more to diagnose it. I cannot afford $90 an hour. I am willing to pay for someone to repair/rebuild it.
I would prefer someone who has experience. I might want to go to a 685 kit if top end has damage.
