heat gun technique for klr plastics

I did the "heat gun" technique and it looked good for a little while, but back like it was.  I just sold the bike to someone that really did not care.   Me thinking the only real solution is either live with it or buy new (different colour) plastic.  The drawback here is that the tank would need to match and might require repainting.

Sold my KLR so I am selling off some of the KLR related items. 1. Doohicy tools; A bent 1 1/4 wrench to hold the flywheel and a threaded bolt to pop it off. $25 +$8 for shipping. 2 Tee wrench to remove the front fork internals.
