chain longevity - mistake!

Post by RobertWichert » Mon Nov 18, 2013 12:27 pm

That leftcoastklrs address is Eagle Mike, I believe. The one I got from you, Fred, is great. I really did have trouble with the standard spring. Not much tension. Easy to bend and mess it up. The torsion spring is great. Robert Wichert P.Eng. LEED AP BD&C +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================

The Torsion Spring comes with a web address for installation instructions. http://www.leftcoastklrs.com/Install_a_torsion_spring.htm If you look on the packaging of this spring, you will see the URL there. Contrary to what has been posted from a dot net site that won t be mentioned, I only sell (always have) the Eagle doohickey & torsion springs. The first set lasted from 24k to 40k, so the current set has only 11k on it. The sprockets still look new. No problems other than the visual kinkiness. Should I worry? or just clean it and keep riding? I think I'll ride, just not too far away. I bought a torsion spring for the doo from Fred. Did not come with instructions. I suppose it will apparent once I get in there but I recall needing to drill a hole for this installation. -- Ian Francisco http://www.scarletfuries.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Scarlet-Furies/121218125931
