gas storage idea? (nonklr-kinda)

Post by Ronald Criswell » Fri Nov 08, 2013 10:33 am

I have tried both and the Star Tron seems to have cleared up my reacurring problem with the Concours carb problems. Sea Foam sorta worked on it sometimes but not as well. I first heard of this stuff in one of the bike magazines where a Connie owner was having the same problems. The magazine suggested Star Tron before a carb overhall as BMW had reocurring fuel injection problems and reccomeded people run it on their bikes. I would rather do that than pull 4 carbs (which I never have done). Criswell

Drain the gas tank, let it dry and spray WD 40 in it. I've had carbs set up in the shop from a bike I had wrecked ( with my body on it sigh! )  for about 6 years. Sold them to a guy to put on his 920 Virago and it started and ran just like new from the get go. The carbs were off of an XV920RH of '82. Always wonder if the Startron was mo betta than the Sea Foam. But , never heard from anyone that had used both. Thanks Ron,  will try some. Heck with 2 bikes, 2 lawn mowers, 1 generator , 1 boat W/ 40 hp Yamaha and my truck = lots of maintenance.   LOL!
