An opinion only, your thoughts? Lee

First time poster so please forgive if I did this incorrectly.

 

Hi folks- Last Winter I bought a 2006 KLR with 3,000 miles on it in cherry condition. The rig has numerous farkels but mostly guards, seat, manual fan switch, blinky tail light etc. I have put about 1500 aggressive  miles on  since I bought it. The question I have is, since I do not know if the previous owner did the doohickey upgrade; what is the recommended action.  Do I get the parts and just dive in as if It has not been done? Thanks in advance for the help.

If the bike isn't your daily mode of transportation, then take the left side engine cover off so you can see inside. If it has already been done, then just get a new gasket for that side. If it hasn't been done, then you'll need to buy the kit. I wouldn't order the parts until you know what you have in there. Ryan Phoenix, AZ Stephen Watson wrote:
