ride report: crown king trail risers

#ygrps-yiv-1111494216 P {margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;} Welcome to the camp of the road warrior!  Just finished my 4th 1,000 mile/week long dirt trip for the summer.  (My wife just hinted that Isn't it time to finish that painting project you started last spring? )   Your condensation is from your breath.  Depend on your bag for warmth, not the tent.  Go for as much ventilation as you can.   I, on the other hand, hammock where the ventilation is really maximized. It was great!!!    Back roads and fire roads of Mark Twain NF in Missouri.  Much better riding than I expected. Anyway, I had just put 1 inch risers and rotated my bars forward the day before, and wow it was a lot better.  Surprised how much a little difference can make.  Very nearly eliminated the numbness that I get in my right hand for one thing.  Couple questions.   My chain got pretty dusty, with about 60 miles of dirt road riding after day one, should I have brought wd-40 to clean it with before the ride home on day two? It didn't rain, and was down to 42 degrees F, the outside of my tent was pretty dry, but the inside of my tent was soaking wet!  I was dry and all my gear, but when I would touch the sides or shake it, water would run down the sides.  I had the door air vent completely closed, thinking that would make it warmer inside, but there was a top vent (with a little rain cover over it, but not closing it off).  I hope you aren't going to say that was all my sweat!  I am thinking warmer inside causes condensation, much like a cold glass is colder on the inside so gets condensation on the outside.  Thanks, Peter in St. Louis, still looking for someone to ride with if you are in the Sunset hills, Fenton area let me know.
