Just steel, no problem welding it.   Mine was welded up in a small Mexican pueblo last time.   It helps if you fit some smaller diameter tubing inside to help support it.   You can weld it in place, once you remove everything to expose it.   Disconnect the ground wire to the battery first.   Good luck, Paul Streeter

advice needed on place to camp in moab
