I recently picked up a military surplus aluminum Night Vision Goggle Case and have it mounted as a top case. The down side is that it has six latches to hold on the top. I'd like to remove several of those latches and replace two of them with hinges.
A friend has SW-Moto side cases on his KLR and the hinges are pretty much what I'm looking for. I've tried to contact SW-Moto and Twisted Throttle for these hinges, but have had no luck.
Can anyone here suggest a source for good quality top or side case hinges. A piano-type hinge just won't work. TIA

help with military surplus top case
I just grabbed them with pliers and I was able to remove the ones on the sides, leaving the two on the back.

liquid storage bottle tip. ("tools")
5 hour "energy" drink bottles are SMALL AND TUFF.
I have used a few for dish Soap, (tire changing lube) And Now putting GOJO (waterless Hand cleaner) in one to keep in the tool bag, so WHEN I DO, get grease on my hands I can easly clean up.
Sure not All will come out, But I'm sure Plenty for the job at "HAND",
Then I will REFILL, So NONE LOST. (none lost in the bottle, that I could Not get out WITH OUT WATER.)
Just wash and Rinse a used bottle with HOT water, so it dry's easer.
(I tip upside down at a slant so it drips out better and about an hour +, TAP out drips of water, that may be stuck in the bottom.
