We did my valves on Saturday at the GSM Moto Tech Day and did the same snip, though to be honest, using a short extension on the socket I found the hose was easily moved aside for both the initial removal and replacement. Of course, we did put two seals on one of the cambox bolts and none on another so I had an oil fountain on my boots within a mile or so but the fan, etc. was easy.
