The on Yamaha that had been finishing in the top 10 broke I think. Yep, James is back in form and shape now. Was good to see him ride smart. I wish Milslap had got a good start as to be with JS and RV. Would of been interesting as he was running the same lap times once clear in 3rd. Too bad RV could not get close enough to James to show him a wheel but just was loosing too much time in one section to make it up. Ready for the next one already. ;-)

Re:Reversable mods and the next owner. Or even the one after that. You may get rid of a KLR650. But, apparently it never really gets rid of you. =) ******************************************************************************* Among a ton of farkles in 3 years of ownership, I added a SW Motech centerstand and engine guards to my former 09'. The SWM stand has no arm for you to press down on with your foot. Instead, they include a dead-lift handle that bolts onto the left passenger footpeg mount, using new bolts. I sold the KLR last September to a nice guy from Alabama. Included was a set of KLR soft luggage, some spares like a clutch cable, brake and clutch levers, etc... I also gave him a bag of OEM bolts that'd come off when I'd added the center stand, crash bars and stuff. In the bag were other bolts I'd added to the KLR collection for various reasons I couldn't remember. Any how, he kept the bike a few months then sold it to someone else even farther away. One afternoon, I got a call from the 3rd owner. Owner #2 had given him my phone number without asking me first. Not a problem. But...... # 3 was asking in-depth questions about the bike's upkeep, accessory parts, etc... {Ever get the feeling someone feels you owe them something when you really don't?} While not exactly obligated in any way to the man, I took the next 20-25 minutes and pretty much went through everything I'd ever done with the bike. Later, he called back and asked if I had the OEM footpeg mount bolts? He was changing out the center stand for one with a foot assist arm and would be returning the footpeg mount to it's original configuration. I thought I included the bolts in the original sale. But, a quick look determined I had not. So, the guy offered to pay me for shipping them to him. I made him a counter offer: Send me some cool souvenir he found out KLR riding and send that instead. It could be anything, really. A sticker, a pin, etc... I wasn't going to be picky. I went to the post office the next morning and mailed the bolts. I never heard from him again. Oh, well. Hope he got the 09' set up to his liking. His "tech support line" here has been disconnected, so-to-speak. -eddie PS:I saw the bike for sale on Craigs List by owner #2. It was nice to see he'd taken good care of it in the short time he owned it (3-4 months?). Owner #3 had bought the bike through that ad and later asked ME if the left side was scratched up and the clutch lever bent when I owned it? "No." and if he bothered to look at the photos in that ad he answered, he'd have seen the bike was in A1 condition at that time. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
