fred? - balancer chain adjustment rubber cap grommet thing

Looks easier to move the muffler than the rack. You may need to reprofile the fender, but once that's done, the heel of your hand, or at most a crescent wrench on the mounting tab should move the muffler clear of the rack. Or, you could do the socially responsible thing, ditch the noisy Supertrapp, and reinstall the nice, quiet stock muffler.
