seat foam 101 corrected

Post by Jeffrey » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:12 am

THE ONLY KNIFE REQUIRED IS A SHARP SINGLE SIDED RAZOR BLADE...just cut small area from the top...then pull out original foam with your fingers. SEE PIC WITH RULLER The Corbin Seat Covers are riveted on so more work. But, the cover is stretchedless so easier to realign the rivet holes but you have to use some bigger rivets in some place due to thrashing while taking apart. Though, the Corbin needs much less foam work than the OEM. The Corbins still need some softer memory foam on top. Since you have to stretch the OEM KLR seat cover more to get it back on, it is a two man job. Take out 1-2 inches of Corbin foam and add back 2 to 4 inches of memory foam for the Corbin is necessary. Take out 4 inches of STOCK foam for OEM seat. add 6 inches of memory foam. I actually took out 4 inches up front, added 6 inches of memory foam. In back, I just added some memory foam on top of stock. WORKS GREAT http://s943.photobucket.com/albums/ad278/halgot1/klroemseat/ http://s943.photobucket.com/albums/ad278/halgot1/seat/ DON'T CUT NEAR THE SIDE TOP EDGES OF THE SEATS I have two great seats now. But, only one butt. If anyone needs their butt saved...

Up here in the great white north we'd hardly get any riding done if we didn't ride in the snow... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5LzidWqe8I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5LzidWqe8I> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brent Tegler Fegus, ON, Canada ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com on behalf of RobertWichert Sent: Mon 23/01/2012 6:15 PM To: fw189uhu Cc: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] KLR Snow Chains Hilarious! My gut response is you need brains not chains. Sorry, can't help you with either. Just my 2 cents (where'd the cents key go anyway?) but I'll bet others are thinking the same...
