I first encounter those on my '07 DL1000 Suzuki. After understanding the concept, loved them. To keep the screws on my KLR, a touch of silicone seal on the threads of every bolt, screw. Hey the radiator fan quit working on the Connie. Fuse is OK and connections seem to be. Do ya think it is the switch? The fan is directly wired to the battery and will stay on even after you kill the engine if it is hot.
