Hey all - the choke lever housing on my '00 broke and I need to replace it. I found an entire turn signal housing from an '08 on ebay and prefer the signal switch on it, and would consider just swapping out the entire mess.
Does anyone know if these two housings are interchangeable? "Plug and play" is what I'm after...
Thanks for any assistance!

turn signal housing - gen i & ii compatible?
As far as I know the 08 will not plug n play on your 00 KLR.
Did you break the mirror mount off your switch? This mount is easily replace by a part I sell. If your switch is broken then there is another plug n play switch that will work on your bike.

Did the bolt upgrade right away on our 02. It did require drilling out the frame. Used a kit from Dual Star and has worked well. Wonder how different the new model KLR's are from the old in this respect? Did loose on of the lower sub-frame bolts couple rides back. Replaced it with a radiator mounting bolt off the Toyota truck. Loctite, don't leave home without it!

I have the aftermarket switch assembly 0n my A13 and it's been great. You push to cancel the turn signals, which works better for me than the stock rocker (I kept rocking past Off to the other side signal), and I get more lighting choices.
