I'm never going back to original.  You can have mine ('06).  You gotta pay for shipping though.  I'm in California. Robert P. Wichert P.Eng +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ========================================================

oem foot pegs?

I got these Moose pegs from Happy Trail. I got the 1/2" setback model, but I still needed to rotate the shift lever up one notch. No problems with that. I ride in White Boots and I have plenty of room. Maybe too much. http://www.happy-trail.com/Products/Moose-Onyx-SS-%28w12-set-back%29-for-KLR650-all-years__1620-0463.aspx The originals are slippery when wet. These Moose jobs are big, bad, and grabby. Not so good with leather soles though. Rubber soles are good, leather soles are slippery. The OEMs are better if you are going to ride in leather soled shoes or boots since the rubber on the OEMs will grab the leather, but if it gets wet, it gets SLICK. Even in the rain! I wrapped mine with inner tubes when I was riding in leather boots. That worked fine. Robert P. Half an inch is for boot clearance. Your shoes are way bigger than that. It won't affect your riding position. By the way, I do sit on the back of the seat. When my wife sits on the seat, I'm way forward. Robert P. Wichert P.Eng +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ========================================================

Then my arms are too stretched out to ride very far. ----- Sent from my iPhone On Jul 15, 2010, at 5:01 PM, RobertWichert wrote: I got these Moose pegs from Happy Trail.
