Whats your duct tape type MUST pack in your kit items?
the odd ball MacGyver Item to take for an Emergency repair etc.

Mine: besides Tapes, liquid JB weld, Zipstrips, GIANT twisty ties,
I found that on packages for toys tools etc. you can find some extra thick, 1-2 foot long twisty ties, (like on bread bags.)
It's like have insulated (plastic coated) baling wire. doesn't scratch (usualy)

Vasoline (small pill bottle filled), lube a part, for cuts, lipbalm, or starting fires.

Trash bag (heavy duty large commercial) on trips lays in the bottom of saddle bags.

I'll bite. In addition to the basic bike tool set > On my bike every day: Stainless steel safety wire, plastic fork & spoon (ever forget these on a camping trip? I have!), electrical tape, small bottle of Scottoil for the oiler (also good on cables, pivot points, etc... in a pinch), spare fuses, a couple of feet  of electrical wire,  wire ties - both plastic and metal, dollar store compressed-into-pellet-size hand towels packed in a 35mm film can, 1/4 in. drive sockets in 8,10 & 12mm + the driver , extensions & an adapter to turn cordless screwdriver bits in common, #2 and #3 phillips head, tire gauge, collapsable bicycle pump, Moose racing multi-tool/plier, half a hacksaw blade with electrical tape protecting stuff from the teeth, assorted small metric bolts and nuts suitable for replacing those shaken loose, a couple of nylon license plate bolt and nut pairs, a few bungee cords and bungee net plus a micro fiber cloth in a sealed container alongside a tiny spray bottle of water/vinegar mix for cleaning my glasses and face shield. That's what I can remember, anyway. And remember we should. It would stink to be in a situation where you needed ___ and didn't realize you had one with you. =) eddie

Stuff like spares, nuts/bolts, electrical or duct tape, adhesives, wire, zip-ties, etc go without saying... so, I'll just some specific items that might not be in everyone's tool & first aid kits: Butane-powered soldering iron & narrow-gauge solder. 2-pole flat connector plug jumper cables. Shrink tubing. Dental crown epoxy. Self-sealing silicone tape. Styptic pencil. Butterfly closures. Several alcohol prep pads. Tube of Go-Jo hand cleaner and 5 thin shop towels. Toilet paper from several MREs Mylar "space blanket" Frisbee. Sharpie markers. Tyvec notepad. Mini camp axe and folding Fiskars pruning saw. Laminated cardboard copy of my license plate. Mark

It’s not cheap, but it’s worth its weight in gold:

SPOT GPS locator.  See http://www.findmespot.com.  I keep one in my flight bag; take it with me on non-flying trips.

A customer just left my shop a couple of days ago with his Spot doing the Trans America Trail.  It has been real interesting in watching his progress across the wild west. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0bQfJHArtEWMjllU3hUDjYdpzDOtXttQD Fred www.arrowheadmotorsports.com     From: dr.sachs@...
