went up the mountain yesterday. rode up maybe 500 in 15 kilometers and back down.
bike was running fine no problems that i could tell.
pulled a stupid and stalled my bike out on a sharp incline
and i fell off it bike fell in a mix of rock and grass
was on its right side for about 4-6 mins before i got it back on its wheels.
rode back to town 20 kms bike seemed fine.
stopped at the pub for dinner 1 hour
rode to grocery store
bike stalled out in parking lot just after starting up
but started again.
rode 5 km back to hotel all up hill
bike ran ok same as always
pulled into parking lot
bike stalled out 100 meters from parking stall
floods out now at any attempt to idle
and runs so rich that the exhaust is almost white at times.
WTF did i do to it?
any ideas before i tear the carb apart?
thanks

bike running very very rich.
Did you get dirt lodged in the jet and the float doesn't seal properly? That
used to happen to me when I'd offroad my bike. Something would find its way
down the jet and the float would stick open. Sometimes a full-throttle run
would flush it out, sometimes I'd come back. I ended up opening and cleaning
out the carb (cracking the drain didn't seem to help).
I put a filter in which has cured it of that sort of thing.

I didn't intend to send this video to the group. NKLR totally! I do think all americans should consider this view put forth in the video. So here it is.

Sounds like the float is stuck open. Try turning the petcock off
and run the bowl out of fuel. Now with the butt of a screwdriver
give the float bowl a few firm taps. Turn the petcock back on
and start to see if it is fixed. Repeat if necessary. Note - this
only works with a petcock that has an off position. Some KLR's
were equipped with a petcock without an off position. If you have
one of these use a vise grip or other type of clamp to pinch the
fuel line closed in place of the off position.
