brake bleeding

Post by david.smith@semflex.com » Sat Oct 06, 2001 7:16 pm

I just installed the Galfner Braided Brake line and I cannot get it to bleed. I have gone thru a half a container of brake fluid no brakes at all and no bubbles anymore. Anyone have any suggestions.

brake bleeding

Check and make sure one of your pads in the brake caliper is not in a bind. Are you getting pressure in the line? Loosen the lower end of the hose (you didn't say front or rear, but brake pad misalignment problems on the rear are pretty common) and see if fluid leaks out. If it does, I bet your caliper is somehow in a bind. Remove the caliper, jiggle the pads, re-install, and happy braking.
