A used Apple iBook G4 12" is a rugged and cheap option. You can find them for ~$300. Typical configuration will be 30GB HD, CDRW/DVD-ROM, built-in wireless, 512MB RAM, USB 2.0 and Firewire. The final-model iBook G3 would be a similar, cheaper but slower option for about $200. iBooks can generally be treated like a bowling ball and hold up OK. tight side up...
Thanks for those who contributed on my progressive tight side up or
down quandry. I decided I would give tight side up a shot. All looks
good put it back together and I have a scratchy sound on depression.
Can't be good. I added the for oil to 190mm while compressed spring
out. Put in my spacers with washer underneath. Seals appear to
working no oil no binding, bleeded off any extra air pressure. I am
sure it is something simple but if anyone has any input I'll take it.
