I have recently started some upgrades to my KLR. I took the seat off
and Tank and proceeded to change out my signal minder from Kisan.
This works great for having running lights and the option of flashers
and Escort mode. The Left side had stopped working and I thot it
was a faulty unit. turns out after replacing the unit, it was just a
short in the wires.
Anyway, while I was testing the blinkers I noticed my headlight was
not coming on. I checked the Fuse on top of the battery it was blown,
I replaced it and it still doesn't work. It's the headlight and
taillight! Brake light works. I checked the bulbs, they are working
fine.
I am wondering if there is another Fuse or something else I missed,
Why the headlight and taillight won't light up??

oil burning new klrs
My other bike is an '03 Bandit 1200. In '01 a lot of B12s had an issue with oil consumption
which Suzuki wouldn't acknowledge.
After some research into it, someone discovered that the little holes drilled thru the pistons
to let oil onto the skirts, had been drilled INCORRECTLY, and were actually BEHIND the oil-
control rings and 'peeking' over the top of it, which allowed oil to get into the combustion
area instead of where it would drain back into the crankcase.
When this was pointed out, Suzuki had to deal with the problem.
My .02$.
