Cool, that maybe means I can own a Super Sherpa here in CA. I went to my dealer last night, the one that I have going to for nearly 30 years, and was told rudely and abruptly: "Why do you want one of those? You can't even own one in California..." as he shook the brochure in my face pointing at the words "Not available in California". Musda had a bad day. I have never seen this salesman before and he did not make me feel like buying the DS200E he shuffled me to. I think I will look elsewhere, or stay on track for getting a Super Sherpa. Does anybody know what hoops I need to jump through if I buy one in Nevada and bring it into the state? == Rev. Nevada and bring it into the state? It's super simple. You buy the machine, ride it home, put over 1500 miles on it, and register it here. You should first register it in the state you bought it in, of course. Backroad Billgoat riding the R1100RS today.

I believe you believe that. I registered a Harley in CA with 3000 miles on it in 1990. I haven't heard of any changes, but I may be out of the loop. The 1988 Evos had a nice 40 mm Keihin quite similar to the KLR carb, but the CA version had a 38 mm.

When is someone going to rode test the Super Sherpa? I realize it's not a cutting edge little dual-sport, but it is a brand new machine. I bet it gets fantastic gas mileage, and with the price of gasoline closing in on $2.00/gallon, that's a more and more important feature. I've seen adds for them selling in the $3399.00 area-they list for $3995.00. Jon Neet

Hi Everyone My wife has just bought a Super Sherpa, wonderful little bike, light, nippy, and very easy to manuver. My question is for anyone else that may own one. We are looking into getting some kind of a back bag for tools, fluids, maps,a little food etc, nothing to bulky for the rear of the bike. Any suggestions ? TIA Dave Salem OR KLR 650 And a payment book for a Super Sherpa
