Will a 150/70 tyre fit my KLR rear rim?
My Wee Strom rear tyre is about 30% worn. 150/17 Tourance. When only a
week old it was punctured by a large screw and repaired. Repairer said
that it was bad and may not work. Ever since it has required pumping up
from a base 20psi to my desired 36psi. So my question is as above, and
will it be a safe proposition? Of course an alternative would be to
install a tube to the tubeless rim. However I would prefer to replace
tyre completely.
Any experiences or opinions out there?

my klr idea no1 - footpeg position.
(1) I have big feet too. My gear lever is too short and have
difficulty shifting, particularly with serious off road boots on. I
replaced pegs with wider type which made it worse.
(2) I also dont feel comfortable when standing on pegs for more
technical dirt work. (Note : ex trials rider here.)These pegs are way
too forward for me.
Solution - Has anyone seen or considered fabricating an adaptor plate
to place the pegs rearward? I suggest one to two inches rearward. The
only issue I see is that the frame may force an outward projection of
another inch.
The adaptor plate could go up or down as desired. Or maybe even
adjustable. I realise the new position may make highway miles more
uncomfortable, but the additional highway pegs should solve that
problem.
Your feedback will be most welcomed.
