Just purchased a 2002 that runs good but look a little rough. The
battery is leaking. Should I get the Odessy battery or just a regular
non vented battery? The front end seems to wobble or feels lose when I
hit about 80, does it need bearings, or am I just out of shape. I used
to drive my old klr600 to the max at 112 mph. And of course what is the
first thing to increase the power? Thanks!!

what to do first
The first thing is not to drive that fast until you've done a through
safety inspection. WOW 112 mph. I never would have thought it
possible but I don't have much of an imagination.

The Odyssey is a very nice battery, but if my battery were leaking I'd want to replace it ASAP. As such, the Yuasa AGM sealed battery is widely available at local retailers, so that's what I'd go with. (I think the FAQ has the exact Yuasa part number.) It's a great battery anyway, and I'm not sure the Odyssey has that much value over it for most folks.> The > battery is leaking. Assuming stock springs, your front end probably has too much sag. Check out http://dirtrider.com/tech/141_0411_set_up/> for instructions on how to set the sag. Also, with old stock springs that have "taken a set" your free sag probably won't be right once you get the static sag set correctly. It's not the end of the world, but a set of aftermarket springs will help you hit both the static and free sag numbers you want. -- Blake Sobiloff http://www.sobiloff.com/> San Jose, CA (USA) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]> The front end seems to wobble or feels lose when I > hit about 80, does it need bearings, or am I just out of shape.

klr650 group invite!
Since the address is a blatant ripoff of a long established site you'll
get some traffic. Much of it very unwelcome. ADVRiders play rough.
They eat their dead. Unless Baldy signed off on this you're gonna
see hundreds of really PO'd riders. JoMama alone will have your
liver with fava beans and a nice chianti. jus' sayin'

Hi I have just setup a new forum for off road motorcyclists. It is literally brand new and only went online only today. It was setup with the intention to provide a way for like minded motorcycling folks to share info about legal places to ride. Aswell as documenting green lanes and rights of way. (We have to use them or lose them!). If it works it should also provide a meeting place for riders to get together and organise rides This does not have to be restricted to the UK. I will be working on getting in as many people as possible so we can all go out and get muddy more often! Your all invited! - What you see now if just a basic start andthe site will be evolving over the next few months into something much more impressive. If you have ideas - tell me, if there good i will include them! www.advrider.co.uk - If you think its a good idea please sign up - it's very tough getting the first few members!
