nklr: alternative to thermarest hotbond

It appears that my kickstand is allowing the bike to lean to far. I am assuming that it is from my technique of getting on the bike. I have removed the stand from the bike and squeezed the fork end back together. That worked for a month or so,,but She's starting to lean to fr again

Hello Keith, Not sure how a Thermarest patch works, but this is my story: I recently patched my Eddie Bauer inflatable mattress using these products: 1) Pool Chem (brand) 'Big Job Patch Kit' designed for pool liners and inflatables. Included a big vinyl --cut to size-- patch and glue 2) All Purpose, Amazing GOOP (brand) I had tried hot glue, NOPE I had tried using a tire patch, NOPE and then I found these two products, one in the pool section of Menard's (=Lowe's, Home Depot) and the GOOP in adhesives section. I patched with the pool sealer, and then 'caulked' the edges with the GOOP. WOW! what a seal--it was like welding the patch on! I might work for you after you can peel back the fabric(?) or the GOOP may penetrate enough to seal the leak around the fabric, etc. The down side, it was a two day process. Install the vinyl patch, let it set for 24 hours, caulk the patch edge, let it set for 24 hours--but what a patch! and it holds air! revmaaatin.
