AARP is anti gun and for that reason I'v never been a member. Geezerizm is a function of age/attitude rather than membership and having a KLR is evidence of the required attitude. hehe. Regarding the 45 pds compression, I'm not sure an engine would run on that--if it did, very poorly at best. I'd guess the compression release wasn't fully deactivated. Best.

As a victim of gun violence (legally purchased by an insane person), I'll never be a member of the "gun in every pocket" NRA. The extremes is what hurts the reasonable solution of any issue / situation. BTW, I don't belong to AARP either, which is another "extremest group" like the NRA. Don R100, A6F

Haven't you heard? There's a new group for seniors like you: The NRAARP. The good news: New members receive a handgun of their choice upon joining. The bad news: Ammo is doled out like prescription medicine. So NRAARP members on fixed icomes have to sit around the kitchen table at the end of every month to decide on how many bullets they can use. Hmm, save the brass and reload--would be a GEENK load. To make this legal gotta ask a question I can't find the ans to. What is the widest tire that can be installed on the stock front rim? Any idea what brand that would be and who might carry it? Going to use a wider front tire and bars that setback more to lessen the front wheel loading.

Tire manufactures give a size range as to what width rim a tire can be mounted on. Although I've never seen this spec called out for a front tire. Kerry

Been mugged a few times, unfortunately. Never blamed the issue on the availablity of guns, only that I didn't have one when I needed it. But I'm no friend of the NRA, either, they are entirely too soft on the antigunners. AARP just lost a member. If you think the NRA is extremist, avoid me! :) --- Spike55 wrote:

Gee, no problem. one target, one bullet. Long as the number of bullets meets or exceeds number of targets, we're cool. --- J T wrote:

Don, Respectfully - you were a victim of PEOPLE violence, and the person used an ILLEGALLY OBTAINED GUN! (Unless insane people are legally allowed to buy guns?) All the best. Ed
