kawasaki sparkplug wrench
I need to change my sparkplug on my 2004 KLR 650, conventional socket
to thick. Recommendations on part number or callout for Kawasaki
sparkplug wrench?

Double check me with the parts diagrams at kawasaki.com or
ronayers.com, but it looks to be PN 92110-1111.

I just got an 18mm thinwall socket to add to my tool kit. Upgrade from the
OEM tool kit socket. No affiliation and not an advertisement, but the outfit
below was the best price and good service.

I went through the same thing last fall. Jeff Saline
offered this:

turning it on my
lathe. My socket is a Provalue 18mm Taiwan 30798 deep
well socket. The
outside diameter is 0.935" and it fits my
head/sparkplug. It's tight but
it fits. I'm sure I got it at the pawn shop as I don't
normally buy
sockets retail anymore. I'm thinking Provalue might be
from Lowes,
Menards or an auto parts store.

I ended up just getting my hands on the one that came
with the stock tool kit. I almost bought the
motionpro one until I heard it doesn't fit some
XR400s--I would like to get an XR400 one day so it
seemed like an excusable splurge, but not if it might
not fit!

The city light wires are the quick fix for GPS power however you may wish to consider whether it is most desirable that the GPS power stays on with the ignition off. My GPS is presently connected to power at all times because I prefer that the GPS not power down while stopped for gas and such.
The flip side of that is the GPS power supply will flatten the battery if it is forgotten over night. Who would be that foolish you ask????? Only once.....
Another question is whether you feel that this will be the only accessory which will be installed. If so, the city light wires are a good power source. If another accessory is likely to be installed, it may be best to avoid doubling up on wiring by installing an accessory relay at this time.
The wiring has a lot of voltage drop so accessories and headlights both benefit.
