higher wattage stator

Has anyone installed a 400watt stator or any higher wattage stator? I would like to add some accesory lights and maybe a higher wattage headlight bulb and feel that I might overdraw the stock output.

Yo Rocky.... Is there such thing as a 400 watt stator for the KLR? If so, it must be new. If you can find a 400 watt, or even a 300 watt unit for the KLR let the group know. the following was posted to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MADS_KLR650 a week or two ago but it seems to be pure B/S, the person I spoke with at KLR.COM knew nothing about it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seems like a good deal. Was it an Electrosport stator and RR? Catfish www.FarkleMasters.com/GroupBuy www.FarkleMasters.com IBA #12835 AMA Lifer 462122 pat tate wrote:

There have been too many reports over the years of the Electrosport products not performing as advertised and not being reliable. Now, it may well be that the guys who are getting satisfactory results are just not reporting in large numbers. This is such an enticing idea (Bright lights! Heated clothing!) that I might have bought one years ago if not for all the sightings of the emperor running around naked. ============================================================ They have not put it on the web sight yet, the part number is 201-0014, so you have to call them in order to beat the Paypal guys. They have a toll free number I think its 888-297-MOTO. ======================================================= ----- Original Message ----- From: Don S To: Rocky ; DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, October 14, 2006 11:14 PM Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] Higher wattage stator Yo Rocky.... higher wattage stator

The reason I asked was I had found one, but don't know how well they work. Here is what I found. Just go to the KLR pull down and click the electrical tab and the stators are there. http://www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/parts_frames.html
